Lukashenko continues work in the east of Belarus, visiting Yubileyny agro-industrial complex in Orsha District

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko continues working in the east of the country, and today he has arrived to the Yubileyny agro-industrial complex in the Orsha District of the Vitebsk Region, BelTA reports

The President studied how things are going at the agricultural facility, asked of the plans of its development, and how the instructions given during his previous visits are being fulfilled. The conversation focused on the structure of the agro-industrial complex, how the social sphere and housing construction are developing in the area. Agro-town of Babinichi is the central point of Yubileyny; here, all living conditions have been created for residents, including a good school, a kindergarten, and sports facilities.

"Agro-towns were actually created for this purpose," Aleksandr Lukashenko noted. He stressed that it is important to repair roads to agro-towns, where necessary, to ensure normal logistics.

This is not the first time the Head of State has visited this agricultural facility. In June 2022, Aleksandr Lukashenko got acquainted with the work of the local Kupalinka dairy complex and visited the engine yard. A number of practical issues, including the site covering and the search for an optimal solution for heating workshops in winter, were discussed, and the task was set to settle them efficiently and with reasonable investment. In turn, the construction of technological complexes at the Pavlinka robotic dairy complex was discussed last July.

On August 11th, 2024, Aleksandr Lukashenko first of all came to the central engine yard. The issue of safety and proper maintenance of machinery is one of the top priorities in the agricultural sector.

As Aleksandr Firsin, the Director of Yubileyny, reported to the President, the gasification of the engine yard had been carried out, infrared radiators had been installed, and showers had been equipped. In short, comfortable conditions have been created for people to work and repair equipment.

"Well, it is a true palace," the Head of State assessed the results.

A similar approach – based not only on the aspects of efficiency, but also reasonable savings – was applied to revamp another, smaller engine yard.

Aleksandr Lukashenko was also informed on the progress in the harvesting campaign. 55 percent of the farm’s fields have been cropped by now, and a good harvest of grain and fodder is likely.

The previous two days of the President's work in the Shklov District were also devoted to agriculture. First, at a meeting in Shklov, ways to effectively develop agricultural production using the example of two GDP-forming regions – Shklov and Orsha – were discussed, and the Head of State held a separate meeting in the agro-town of Gorodishche (Shklov District) next day to consider in detail the feasibility of creating a large integration structure with the participation of the Kupalovskoye Holding. The proposal was given a green light. Actually, Aleksandr Lukashenko directs to ensure effective work, restore proper order at the existing facilities and territories, maintain performance and technological discipline.
