It is reported that Mateusz Morawiecki is creating his shadow cabinet that will include, among others, Daniel Obajtek (former head of PGNiG Energy Concern), Waldemar Buda (former Minister of Economic Development and Technology), and Piotr Müller (former government spokesperson).

According to the publication, the creation of a shadow government is ‘an attempt to concentrate the activities of people who once performed important government functions, since leaving them in a political vacuum would leave them vulnerable to factional infighting’.

Recently, a coalition led by Donald Tusk, who became Prime Minister, came to power in Poland. The Law and Justice Party (PiS), led by Jaroslaw Kaczynski, went into opposition.
