Media: NATO creating structure to fight Russia in Baltic Sea

According to the German newspaper Die Junge Zeitung, NATO’s desire to build up military infrastructure in the Baltic Sea under the pretext of ensuring security is actually directed against Russia, RIA Novosti reports

NATO countries reportedly already agreed on this on December 30th in Brussels. Apparently, this creates a second NATO sub-organisation in the Baltic Sea region specifically targeted against Russia.

According to the publication, the Joint Expeditionary Force, which has been in place since 2018, is expected to strengthen the monitoring of critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea.
