The Iranian Foreign Minister is quoted by the ISNA agency as saying, “Once again, we condemn the unfounded accusations against Iran that Russia uses Iranian weapons in the conflict with Ukraine. We are already tired of the repetition of these unsubstantiated allegations.”

Moscow and Tehran have repeatedly denied versions about the supply of Iranian drones to Russia, allegedly with the aim of using them in Ukraine. As noted by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, such messages are misinformation. He stressed that the Russian Armed Forces use UAVs only of domestic production. In November 2022, Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that his country had transferred drones to Russia, but in small numbers and several months before the start of the special military operation.
