Media: First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber to serve as President of Iran until elections

Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber will assume the duties of President of the Islamic Republic until the elections, TASS reports with reference to the IRIB TV channel

It is noted that, in accordance with Article 131 of the Iranian Constitution, in the event of the death of the President, his duties are performed by the First Vice President with the approval of the country's leadership.

The new President must be elected no later than within 50 days.
