Markov on talks between Lukashenko and Xi Jinping: these two wise leaders should have met
The state visit of the President of Belarus to China has just concluded and Marat Markov, the Chairman of the Board of the Second National TV Channel, spoke about the significance of the meeting between two world leaders, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Xi Jinping, during his talk with Alfa Radio
Marat Markov noted that today China is one of the leading powers in the world, “As President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko said earlier, over the next five years, China will become the main power in the world. Belarus is a small country, having a population of only 10 million people. However, despite this, the Belarusian Head of State is known all over the world, he is the President with a capital letter. Let’s be frank, Aleksandr Lukashenko has not just become a leader of the nation and a world-class leader. In other countries they talk about him, they argue about him, someone may not like him, but everyone definitely respects him because they feel his strength. So two strong leaders met. I’m talking about personalities, not countries, about those people whose words matter and have political weight. These two wise leaders should have met.”
Marat Markov drew attention to the fact that the Chinese leader is a wise person who makes balanced decisions. He is in no hurry, at first he measures for a long time, but then he adheres to the decisions made. He doesn’t hesitate from side to side.
“Look at the ideology of China: they kept the communist ideology and added market relations to their philosophy, enabling them to make a colossal breakthrough in the economy. President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko once also took the path of independence. Our country is self-sufficient, adhering to the philosophy of ‘everything for the people’. Actually, in China everything is the same.”
