Lukashenko wore a mask with Chinese flag at his talks with Xi Jinping, why
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, wore a mask featuring the flag of China during his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Samarkand, BelTA reports
As it is known, China follows strict anti-epidemic restrictions and pursues zero-COVID policy.
"Pinevich [Belarus’ Healthcare Minister – BelTA’s remark] failed, but Xi succeeded. At the Chinese friends’ request, the Head of State put on a mask," the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel posted.
However, this did not explain why the Belarusian leader was wearing a mask with the flag of China. The source explained several minutes later, “Initially, the President came to the talks with Xi Jinping with his own mask, but asked for a Chinese one before the meeting: it features the flag. The Head of State also asked for a dozen more to take them to Minsk. This is true trust!”
