Lukashenko went to Ostrovets after visiting BelNPP

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, arrived in Ostrovets after visiting the Belarusian nuclear power plant today, BelTA reports

As of early 2023, the population of the Ostrovets District made 28,700 people, including almost 17 thousand of working age, and 5.8 thousand children.

The Head of State focused on the implementation of a comprehensive plan for the development of the region. The President plans to get acquainted with the work of the Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital, which is the only one in the country servicing the population of the district and also being an inter-regional and inter-district diagnostic and treatment centre.

The Ostrovets hospital includes an inpatient medical and diagnostic complex, a polyclinic, a nursing hospital with a general practitioner's outpatient clinic, three outpatient clinics of a general practitioner, 15 paramedic and obstetric stations, a health centre at the construction site of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, and a health centre at the Belarusian NPP state enterprise.

A large multifunctional cultural and social complex has also been built in the city. There is also an ice arena in this district centre.
