Lukashenko: we must have clear idea of what’s happening inside and around Belarus

The improvement of the current system for assessing the state of national security is being discussed today during a meeting of the Security Council at the Palace of Independence

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko reminded that it is not enough just to fix certain provisions in regulatory legal acts, “It’s time to launch these approaches into practice, i.e., we must have a clear idea of what is really happening inside and around the country. This relates to military security, economy, social, political and other spheres: without embellishment, as accurate and objective as possible.”

In this regard, Aleksandr Lukashenko asked the participants of the meeting what has been done to improve the current system for assessing the state of national security and how the proposed changes are consistent with the new National Security Concept. The main aspect is whether the proposed assessment system reflects the real state of affairs in each area of national security.

“You know our requirement: there should be no formalism and oversimplification here,” the President stressed.
