The leaders of the CIS member states are expected to adopt a number of joint statements.

The agenda item on establishing observer and partner statuses for the CIS is aimed at expanding the potential of the CIS and increasing its role in the international arena.

It is also planned to introduce a number of changes to the legal acts of the CIS and discuss current issues on a wide range of topics.

On the sidelines of the summit, issues of bilateral co-operation between the countries will also be discussed: during meetings, negotiations and interaction between heads of state.
