Lukashenko signed law on ratification of intergovernmental agreement with Russia on procedure for electronic signature recognition

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed the law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on Procedure for Recognising an Electronic Signature (e-signature) in Electronic Document in Cross-Border Electronic Interaction, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

The international agreement provides for mutual recognition of electronic signatures in electronic documents prepared by Belarus and Russia.

The agreement will not cover cases when both participants in cross-border electronic interaction are government agencies and subjects of banking and payment legal relations.
