Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Angolan President João Lourenço
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated President of the Republic of Angola João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço on the national holiday – Independence Day – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service
“Throughout their history, the Angolans courageously overcame all trials, choosing an independent path of development. The victory of the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola in the August elections is clear evidence of the nation’s support for the course to further strengthen state institutions and the economy,” the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State expressed confidence that the challenges of today require closer co-operation from both countries.
“Belarus’ significant experience in agriculture, machine building, petrochemistry, medicine and digital technologies can become the basis for a significant expansion of bilateral liaisons,” the President underlined.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished João Lourenço strong health and new successes in his responsible state post, and the people of Angola – peace, harmony and prosperity.
