Lukashenko’s interview with BBC covers BRICS, special military operation, nuclear weapons, ‘political prisoners’ and election
The topics of President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s interview with BBC journalist Steve Rosenberg that took place on the side-lines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan have become known, BelTA reports
The Pul Pervogo Telegram channel revealed the topics covered during the Belarusian leader’s interview: Belarus’ interest in BRICS, the special military operation and the prospect of Russia-Ukraine peace talks, as well as nuclear weapons, whether they are a deterrent and the mechanism of their use.
According to the source, fake news on North Korea’s alleged participation in the special military operation and the very interesting negotiations with the West that the President reported last Saturday are also among the topics of the conversation.
They also spoke about normalisation of relations with the West in general and the release of the so-called ‘political prisoners’ and the prospects of these processes.
The topic of the Presidential election in Belarus was also high on the agenda; the date has already been announced. “Will the election be free and democratic (as the BBC sees it)?” the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel reported.
The details of the interview are promised already in the evening.
