Lukashenko reported by Gomel Region Governor on elimination of consequences of hurricane
On the morning of July 18th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has been reported by Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko on the elimination of the consequences of the hurricane in the region, BelTA reports
Ivan Krupko reported in detail to the President on the progress of restoration works in the region and the situation on Thursday morning in general.
The Head of State has set the task to complete all works on connecting the population to the power supply by tomorrow morning, including in the most remote settlements.
“By morning, all problems should be removed, especially for the population,” Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed.
The Energy Ministry and chairs of regional executive committees have been tasked with inspecting all energy capacities and power grids, as well as the availability of backup power lines. In case of detection of the slightest factors causing alertness, the old power grids should be dismantled and replaced to avoid similar situations in the future. This is another instruction from the Belarusian leader.
One more set of instructions concerned the elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster in the forest area.
