Lukashenko proposed to develop standard social package for young specialists in rural areas
During today’s Dazynki-2024 regional festival-fair in Polotsk, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has proposed to develop a standard social package for young professionals in rural areas
In particular, the President noted that Belarus’ intellectual potential is enormous, “Our country belongs to the category of states with a very high level of human development. It is intellectual technologies that need to be used to drive progress. High-tech projects with the highest degree of automation, robotisation and other modern forms of work are the face of today’s agro-industrial complex.”
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, such a level of production organisation will be attractive for young personnel.
“Villages must keep up with the times. We need to bring young people back to villages and involve them in solving innovative tasks, create conditions for this and give them the opportunity to prove themselves. In other words, it is necessary to create modern agro-towns, villages, and build good housing. It is necessary to provide good equipment (i.e. working conditions) and normal salaries. Without this, no young people will come here. We need to trust young people. Look, we have a lot of young farmers in the country, who are engaged in the growing of hazelnuts, apples, watermelons,” the President noted.
If we are talking about conditions, we cannot ignore material incentives.
“It is necessary to develop a standard social package for young specialists who go to work in rural areas (rental housing, financial and transport support, etc.),” the Belarusian leader stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that he had accepted all proposals dealing with the development of employer-sponsored education, “If we sign a contract with alumni, including with their parents, as part of the employer-sponsored programme, they must return and work on the land. There should be no other options. Higher education is very expensive, and it is necessary to pay for it.”
According to the Head of State, the need for widespread introduction of high technologies into economic activities is predetermined by another objective factor.
“The crisis of the early 1990s, the collapse of the economy and the devastation in our country are manifested today by a demographic imbalance. The shortage of labour resources must be compensated for by a more efficient technological structure and iron discipline,” the President summed up.
