Lukashenko presented Union State awards in literature and art for 2023-2024

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has presented the Union State awards in literature and art for 2023-2024 at the opening ceremony of the 33rd Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk International Festival of Arts

The winners of the 2023-2024 awards include chief architect of the Belgosproekt Institute Viktor Skrobot, muralist and member of the Belarusian Union of Artists Andrei Petkevich, and Director of the National Historical Museum of Belarus Aleksandr Khramoi for creating a museum at the Khatyn State Memorial.

Writer Vladimir Likhodedov has been awarded for the creation and implementation of the historical and educational project Batskaushchyna (Fatherland) and the publication of author’s books-albums.

Viktor Zakharchenko, who heads the Kuban Cossack Choir (from the Krasnodar Krai) has been also presented with the award for creating a song cycle: Belarus, Rus, and Tseraz Rechanku (translated from Belarus as Across the River).
