Lukashenko outlined promising areas of co-operation with Botswana
Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Duma Boko on his party’s victory in Botswana’s general election and his election as the country’s president, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
“The results of the vote have once again confirmed the strength of the Botswana democratic system. I am convinced that the course of sustainable development and modernisation of the country will be continued under your leadership. Minsk is keen to establish long-term relations with Gaborone. We have prospects for co-operation in the field of food security and technology transfer in agriculture, mining, information and communication technologies,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The President reiterated the readiness of the Belarusian high-level delegation to visit Botswana in December this year to participate and make a constructive contribution to the results of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs).
The Belarusian leader wished Duma Boko strong health and success in his new responsible post.
