The Head of State noted that the foreign market for Belarusian products is vast, “The market that is developing today is huge, the scale is enormous.”

The President also refers to the countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America and underlines that all the heads of state with whom he meets want to liaise with Belarus, especially since we are very active in both the SCO and BRICS.

Anyway, trade-economic relations remain the main task for the Foreign Ministry.

“Trade is of paramount importance, followed by white collar workers, representations, functions and so on. All policy and diplomacy are next. The essence of our foreign policy and diplomacy should be to engage in trade and trade-economic liaisons. Everything is concentrated here today in the Foreign Ministry,” Aleksandr Lukashenko accentuated.

According to the Belarusian leader, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko should supervise trade-economic relations and personnel in the department’s system – this task remains the most important for the PM in terms of personnel. In addition, the President noted that the current Head of the President Administration, Dmitry Krutoi, a former Ambassador of Belarus to Russia, is also well acquainted with production and the specifics of the work. But it is more difficult for the current Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov to work in this regard, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted with a smile, because ‘there are people around him who all worked in the Foreign Ministry system’.
