The Head of State drew attention to the fact that next year we’ll be celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, “This is also the anniversary of a new milestone in the national construction for us. In 1945, the BSSR signed the Charter of the United Nations. We have become one of the founding states as a country that took the brunt of the blow, suffered the heaviest losses and provided unprecedented nationwide resistance to the aggressor. It’s bitter and painful to know that international legitimacy has cost us terrible human sacrifices. But that was the way it was then, that’s the law of life. Just as a person comes into the world through pain, so nations are born in terrible agony. They grow up and become stronger in the struggle for life, for freedom, for their historical memory.”

According to the President, we have learned this law, so we have done and are doing everything not to turn off the road paved by previous generations

“For more than three decades we’ve been following it, stepping over sanctions, political intrigues, blackmail, and information provocations. We’re building Belarus despite the darkest forecasts and predictions. Remember, we were predicted the collapse of our statehood back in the 1990s. Our sovereignty was at stake in 2020. Both then and now we walked along the edge. Nevertheless, we had enough wisdom, strength, and character to preserve the national heritage, our traditions, values, and historical memory. That’s why we live in peace. And we have huge plans for this very life,” the President noted.

“Our goals are technology, new jobs, exports, and investments. These are the foundations of the national security of any state. People are our top priority. We’ll continue to do everything to improve conditions in every corner of the country for creating families and raising children, for work and recreation, for achievement of the desired heights in science, creativity, culture and sports. Success in all areas is in our hands. Technology, advanced manufacturing, space exploration – we’ll have everything if we focus on our goals and capabilities," the Head of State outlined.
