Lukashenko on grain deal: everyone was so concerned about Ukraine, but refused to let the exported grain

The level of organisation of work and labour discipline must be exemplary – as stated today by the President of Belarus at a major conference call on the issues of the harvesting campaign

Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention to the situation around us and once again stressed that the economy is important for peace and tranquillity, “No one will help anyone. Look at what has been highlighted on the grain deal. Everyone is so ‘careful’, everyone is so ‘helping’ Ukraine, but everyone refused to let the exported grain from Ukraine pass through their territory. The Poles and others were so concerned about Ukraine that today they refused to let produce from Ukraine into their territory at all. That’s the whole market. Therefore, we must get organised, mobilise, plan our work so that our people are fed, dressed and shod.”
