Lukashenko on owners’ sacred duty: every piece of land should be in crop rotation
At today’s meeting on the development of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC) and land reclamation, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, drew attention to the need to put all agricultural lands in order
Speaking about land reclamation, the Head of State stressed, “Keeping reclamation canals clean and tidy, maintaining them on time, enabling every piece of land to be in crop rotation, is the sacred responsibility of owners (reclamation system enterprises and agricultural organisations). For what reason has this not been done?”
According to the President, the Council of Ministers refers, firstly, to the high degree of trenchers’ wear rate and, secondly, to the lack of design documentation for the entire area of reconstruction of reclamation systems.
“What kind of problem is to take old documentation... I’m not encouraging you to develop new reclamation systems, but those that were developed in Soviet times need to be restored,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
