Lukashenko: not a single leader in regions or an employee can just leave workplace today

At a major conference call on the issues of the harvesting campaign, the President of Belarus demanded strict observance of personnel discipline

During this hot time, not a single employee or manager can just leave his workplace. Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed, “Today, not a single specialist, not a single head of an agricultural enterprise can be transferred to another job or quit without the decision of the chair of the district executive committee. If a specialist quits - no one in the country can hire him until he submits a certificate (a normal characteristic) from the previous place of work. The same refers to the power vertical: not a single chair of the district executive committee (and others according to their regional register) can also quit work.”

The Head of State demanded, “It’s time to establish order with the staff: not a single machine operator, a milkmaid, and so on in an agricultural enterprise can take a step left or right without the decision of the head. Closed vertical and responsibility must be ensured.”

The President once again repeated what he had already said more than once, “It is better to fight in the field than at the front! Is it really not clear to someone?.. Bring iron order! Everything depends on labour resources. If there is a normal leader, the organisation will work normally. If no – then there will be no work. In this situation, as always, we’ll spend crazy money, equipment, fertilisers, and allocate loans, taking money from pensioners, doctors, and teachers and sending it there. If there is a return, we will lend, but if there is no return, what kind of talk can there be? There can be no talk at all.”
