Lukashenko, Mirziyoyev talked over phone

On July 24th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The Head of State congratulated his Uzbek counterpart on his birthday.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev also discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the Belarusian leader’s visit to Tashkent in February 2024. As it was noted, effective work is currently underway across a range of areas.

In January-May, mutual trade reached almost $245m, while the growth rate stood at 105.3 percent compared to the same period last year. The two states continue to liaise, and have already started implementing a number of new joint projects.
