Lukashenko making working trip to Grodno Region
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, is working today in the Grodno Region. It’s expected that the Head of State will visit the Olekshitsy agricultural enterprise, where – at the facility for fattening and growing cattle for 5,000 cows – he will be reported on the progress of field works in the country, in the Grodno Region, in the Berestovitsa District and at the Olekshitsy enterprise. Moreover, the President will be reported on the socio-economic development of the Grodno Region, the Berestovitsa District and Olekshitsy’s development prospects.
At the facility, the Head of State will get acquainted with the technologies for growing young cattle. On the field of the agricultural enterprise, it is planned to get acquainted with the course of the harvesting campaign, the features of the development and ripening of cereals in conditions of lack of moisture on various types of soil, the experience of using new models of Gomselmash combine harvesters, as well as catering for workers involved in the harvesting campaign.
The President will also hear a report on the implementation of the project dealing with the construction of two cowsheds for 777 dairy cows and a building of a dairy milking unit using the example of the Podbagoniki dairy farm at the Olekshitsy agricultural enterprise. The work programme also envisages familiarisation with the implementation of the President’s order to transfer the dairy branch from dairy farms to modern dairy complexes.
