“As far as rule-making is concerned, we’ve adopted a new Constitution. We’ve created a new framework for our state in the sphere of laws and law-making. Certainly, we should have estimated long ago how many amendments, additions and laws we need to make for the sake of development of the Constitution that was adopted at the nationwide referendum and is currently in force. This work must be launched immediately,” noted the President.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Olga Chupris. Addressing her and the Justice Minister, the Belarusian Head of State said, “You both will have to deal with this. We will all be involved in this process because rule-making cannot depend only on two people or two departments. This is out of the question. The whole country should be engaged in these processes. When will we start this work? Two years will fly by very quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt the basic laws now.”
