Lukashenko instructed to identify specific areas of co-operation with Kyrgyzstan
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed to identify specific areas of co-operation with Kyrgyzstan. The Head of State set the corresponding task on June 13th, appointing Sergei Molunov as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kyrgyzstan, BelTA reports
“I don’t think you’ll have any problems there. If they will, inform me. We have excellent relations with all the leaders in Kyrgyzstan, with influential people there. It is necessary to determine in which areas we will liaise with them,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The Head of State recalled that in Soviet times Belarus often bought beet seeds from Kyrgyzstan. According to the President, if this is relevant for Belarus now, then we can return to this issue. “A range of other directions should be also specified. They are very interested in working with us: from agriculture to the military-industrial complex. Therefore, I really hope that you won’t have any problems there,” the President added.
