Lukashenko: highest priority to be given to training of highly professional officers
The highest priority will be given to the training of highly professional officers in the country, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko stated at today’s ceremony honouring graduates of higher military educational institutions
The Head of State is convinced that even cutting-edge technology is just iron without people, “Therefore, the training of highly professional officers, real patriots – devoted to the country and the people – has been and will be given the highest priority. Your graduation proves this. Each of you has a decent amount of knowledge behind you and a good opportunity to prove yourself in a really difficult situation.”
Moreover, the Belarusian leader added that current graduates will have to implement those new approaches that are enshrined in the National Security Concept and the Military Doctrine recently adopted by the Belarusian People’s Congress.
“You see how the world is methodically turning into a global battlefield. All kinds of battles are being fought: mental, ideological, cyber and proxy wars. This is a reality from which it is necessary to draw conclusions and instantly improve the means and methods of defending our country and waging a war,” Aleksandr Lukashenko underlined.
Addressing the participants of the ceremony, the President stressed, “It is up to you to look for ways to strengthen the combat capabilities of units, increase the training competence and coherence of management bodies and troops in general, while preparing and training subordinates in modern ways of conducting armed struggle.”
The Head of State congratulated the graduates on graduation, and those who received general’s shoulder straps today on being awarded a high and binding title, “I know that for each of you, duty, honour, and Homeland are not just words, but the purpose of your whole life. I wish you strong health, kindness and prosperity, as well as great success in the holy cause of serving the Fatherland. Most importantly, I wish you a strong rear. Good luck, fellow officers!”
