Lukashenko demands to check facts of breakdowns of new domestic equipment at farms
During a major conference call on the issues of the harvesting campaign, facts of breakdowns of new Belarusian-made equipment were noted. Belarus’ Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik said that, e.g., in the Russian Federation there are practically no complaints about our vehicles.
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, pointed out, “I understand that the figures reported to be must be at least halved. Operation and reliability of equipment [depends] on who is driving. Therefore, I divide this [criticism of equipment] by two. But you should figure it out: there are, probably, claims to the agricultural machinery that we supply to the village. I know from my own experience when a new harvester arrives in the field and stops after two hours of work. It’s necessary to harvest, but it stopped.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that, in general, the country has built a system of operational maintenance and repair of domestic vehicles within twenty-four hours, “And before that they used to stand for weeks, and sometimes for months. Therefore, figure it out: it cannot be that everything is fine, and what they told you in the Kemerovo Region is good. This means that you make good equipment for export, but deliver bad equipment domestically. You have moved away from domestic affairs. It’s good and necessary to supply to China and so on, but you should deal with the leaders vertically and let the State Control Committee take these facts and check them.”
