Lukashenko congratulates Angolan President João Lourenço on his reappointment as head of state

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has extended greetings to President of the Republic of Angola João Lourenço on the victory of the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola in the general elections and his re-appointment as president of the country – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service

The Belarusian Head of State stressed that the results of the voting clearly testify to the high level of the nation’s confidence in the course of Angola’s development.

“I hope that the relations of friendship and mutual respect, which formed the basis of the interaction between Belarus and Angola in the last century, will contribute to unlocking the full potential of bilateral co-operation between Minsk and Luanda in trade-economic, sci-tech, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres,” the congratulatory message reads.
