Lukashenko congratulated Widodo and Indonesian people on Independence Day
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and the Indonesian people on the national holiday: Independence Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports
"Over the years of sovereignty, Indonesia has made significant progress in the development of its industrial sector, information, communication and digital technologies. It has managed to become one of the largest regional centres and take a leading place in ASEAN," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State stressed that, in the year of the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Indonesia, it is especially pleasant to note the strengthening of bilateral ties, the growth of trade and the expansion of the legal framework.
The President expressed confidence that it will be possible to fully realise the existing potential of co-operation in the field of food security, education, and tourism.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the President of Indonesia good health and further success in his responsible state post, also wishing happiness and prosperity to Indonesians.
