Lukashenko congratulated President of Zimbabwe and people of this friendly country on Independence Day
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, and the people of this friendly country on Independence Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports
"Your state demonstrates dynamic economic development and growth of citizens’ well-being in difficult conditions of resisting external pressure," the congratulatory message reads. “The course towards rapprochement of our countries is confirmed by the signing of an agreement on establishing twinning relations between Minsk and Harare, as well as the opening of the Embassy of Zimbabwe in the capital of Belarus."
The Head of State called this year’s meeting with Emmerson Mnangagwa a truly fundamental milestone, “During the negotiations, we reached significant agreements in the fields of industry, trade, agriculture, energy, transport, mining, healthcare and education. I am confident in their successful implementation and bringing Belarusian-Zimbabwean relations to a qualitatively new level."
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Emmerson Mnangagwa excellent health and longevity, also wishing and peace and prosperity to the people of Zimbabwe.
