Lukashenko congratulated President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Ghazouani on Independence Day
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Ghazouani on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
"This date is forever associated with the liberation of the Mauritanian people from the yoke of capitalism and the entry into a new era of development. Now Mauritania is on course to strengthen its economy, is a participant in regional and global processes," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State noted that this year marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations and, according to him, the time has come to bring mutual partnership to a qualitatively new level.
The President also confirmed his invitation to the leader of Mauritania to visit Belarus.
"I am sure that the results of our negotiations and your personal acquaintance with Belarusian experience and competencies in industry, agriculture, healthcare, construction, education, medicine will be a positive signal for the business circles of both countries and will help expand co-operation between Belarus and West Africa," the Head of State stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Mohamed Ould Ghazouani good health and success, also wishing peace and progress to the friendly people of Mauritania.
