The Head of State noted that the destiny of the peoples of the two countries has always been to live in peace and harmony. To this day, Belarusians feel real sympathy for their neighbours from Latvia.
“In today's difficult circumstances, we are very pleased that those of you who have visited Belarus at least once have kept in your memory and in your heart, apart from the images of picturesque landscapes, well-tended fields and tidy meadows, safe and cosy cities, towns and villages, the sincerity and diligence of Belarusians, willingness to help and forgive, show understanding and compassion to every person regardless of race, religion, nationality,” the congratulatory message reads.
That is why, as the President stressed, Belarus has opened its doors to residents of Latvia and to all people of good will in general and invites them to cherish ordinary human ties no matter what.
“This is the value that can save the world, which is so necessary for all of us,” the Belarusian leader drew attention.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Latvia strong health, cloudless skies, prosperity and invited them to visit our hospitable country, “We will be happy to welcome you to Belarus!”
