Lukashenko congratulated King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni on Independence Day

On November 9th, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Freedom and sovereignty are the most important values on which the future of the state is based. Cambodians threw off the shackles of colonialism seventy-one years ago and successfully continue to provide the necessary conditions for the country’s development, increasing its role and authority in the world,” the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State noted that Belarus and Cambodia have a long history of relations based on respect and understanding.

“We are always interested in the dynamic expansion of economic co-operation, as well as in fruitful interaction on international platforms to strengthen peace and address pressing issues of the global agenda,” the President stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished strong health and new successes to Norodom Sihamoni, and unity, happiness and prosperity to the people of Cambodia.
