Lukashenko congratulated Central Election Commission staff on 35th anniversary of its formation

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the staff of the Central Election Commission (CEC) on the 35th anniversary of the CEC formation, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

According to the Belarusian leader, since its formation, the Central Election Commission has been actively involved in the work on the formation of institutions of people’s power of the independent Belarusian state, improvement of national legislation, legal education of citizens.

“Thanks largely to your efforts, the elections in Belarus have become an instrument of genuine democracy, the main form of manifestation of the sovereignty of our people, a reflection of their political will,” the Head of State emphasised. “Strict observance of the rule of law in the CEC activities contributes to ensuring political stability, as well as preserving civil peace and harmony.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the firmness of convictions and devotion to the native country, high professional and personal qualities of the CEC staff are the guarantee of new achievements for the benefit of the Fatherland.

The President wished the CEC staff health, peace, prosperity and success in their work.
