Lukashenko congratulated Belarusian Catholics on Christmas

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated Christians of Belarus who are celebrating Christmas on December 25th

“Dear compatriots! I heartily congratulate you on Christmas and the coming year of 2023. The bright holiday reminds us that a great spiritual path of each person begins with the birth of small sprouts of faith, hope and love in the heart. Eternal Christian values give us strength, unite peoples and continents, inspire selfless service to those who are near us, call for mutual respect and search for compromises,” the congratulatory message reads.

As noted by the Belarusian leader, Christmas celebrations have always been a blessed time for Belarusians, when people become kinder and more merciful, pay attention to their relatives, help those in need, strengthen their unity with prayer and creativity.

“This day immerses us in national traditions, which historically serve as a pillar of society. I am convinced that the desire for good neighbourliness, peace and harmony is the key to a happy future for Belarus,” the Head of State stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all good health and prosperity. “May this Christmas become a new starting point for good deeds,” he said.
