Lukashenko confirmed interest in expanding contacts with Angola
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of Angola Joao Lourenco on the national holiday: Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
"In a hard and heroic struggle, the Angolan people defended the sovereignty of their country, gained the right to pursue an independent foreign and domestic policy, and build an economy for people," the congratulatory message reads. “Belarus has gained successful experience in implementing projects in the fields of agriculture, food security, industrial co-operation, healthcare, education, and personnel training to combat natural and man-made disasters. I am confident that co-operation in these areas will contribute to the achievements in the socio-economic development of Angola."
Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed his interest in further expanding bilateral contacts and developing the legal framework. "I will be glad to welcome you on a visit to Minsk at a convenient time for you. I propose to increase the exchange of delegations for the implementation of practical partnership in various fields," the President noted.
The Head of State wished Joao Lourenco good health and the implementation of all plans, also wishing unity and a bright future to the friendly Angolan people.
