Lukashenko: civil society should be a partner for the state, not opposition
Civil society should be a partner for the state, rather than being in opposition – as stated today by the President of Belarus during the nationwide conference dedicated to Actualisation of Methods and Forms of Work with the Population at the Local Level
The Head of State drew attention to the role and functions of numerous councils of all levels in modern conditions. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, a discussion has been launched on the topic of whether we need village councils of deputies, “Who are they bothering? If deputies of all levels, including village councils, had seen the activity of people in due time, could build interaction with them, then even during the active phase of the information attack on Belarus, we would have had support in the form of a socially responsible civil society.”
