Lukashenko: BRICS is community of future that can end Western dominance

BRICS is a community of the future that has the potential to end Western dominance – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko in his speech at the 16th BRICS Summit in the Plus/Outreach format

“Over a short period of time by historical standards, the association has become a centre of attraction. An increasing number of countries associate their ideas about a just world order with it, ensuring the equality of sovereign states regardless of their size, military and economic power, and recognising the right of each country to independently determine its development ideology and pursue an independent foreign policy,” the Head of State underlined.

The Belarusian leader emphasised that BRICS is a community of the future, “In terms of its potential, it is able to put an end to the collective West dominance, which has proved unable to bear responsibility for the civilised development of international relations. It is in the power of the BRICS member states to ensure that the real levers of influence pass into the hands of the progressive world majority.”

The President stressed that we fully share the BRICS philosophy, “Belarus is coming to you with concrete ideas and projects aimed at solving universal problems. We are ready to become an active participant of the club.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarus is a traditionally responsible and efficient partner. Its geographical location in the centre of Europe, its experience and achievements enable us to say with confidence that Belarus will become another important piece in the emerging image of the BRICS future.
