Lukashenko: Belarusian products became both global brand and trend

Belarus has managed to maintain high standards of natural products, which have become both a global brand and a trend – as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at today’s solemn ceremony honouring agricultural workers at the regional Dazhynki-2024 festival-fair in Mosty (Grodno Region)

The Head of State stated that sovereign Belarus is firmly on its feet, “We have changed dramatically and learnt a lot. The whole world knows that if you want to buy delicious and high-quality food, pay attention to the Made in Belarus label. We have managed to maintain high standards of natural products in our technology-driven age. They have become both a global brand and a trend.”

According to the President, the Grodno Region, as one of the agrarian leaders, is steadily moving forward in all directions. This year’s harvest of over 2.2 million tonnes of the main Belarusian gold – grain and leguminous crops – is impressive. As is traditional, this region has been ranked first in terms of yield: almost 55 centners per hectare.

“It is a striking difference compared to 32 centners in the 1990s. And there are also farms that have exceeded a hundred centners. These are agricultural enterprises of the Grodno District named after Kremko, Svisloch and Grodnensky. It is time to take new frontiers: to reach 2.5 million tonnes of threshing. You have everything for this,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised.
