Lukashenko: Belarusian policemen always fulfil duties with honour and are ready to help
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated active and retired employees of the internal affairs bodies on the 107th anniversary of the formation of the Belarusian police, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports
“For more than a century, the internal affairs bodies – both on holidays and on weekdays – have ensured law and order in the country through their selfless work and purposeful service to the law, doing everything possible to ensure that our people live in calm, peace and harmony,” the congratulatory message reads.
The President stressed that this dangerous and difficult profession requires daily determination, courage and bravery, as well as uncompromising toughness towards the criminal and great kindness towards those who need protection.
According to the Head of State, our citizens completely trust the police and know that the Belarusian policeman always fulfils their duties with honour and is ready to help at any moment.
“I express my special gratitude to women in police uniforms, who, along with men, bear all the burdens of difficult service. I thank the mothers of employees and their wives, who provide reliable support and stand by their beloved men in their difficult professional choice,” Aleksandr Lukashenko continued.
He added that today we also honour retired employees of the internal affairs bodies who greatly contributed to the fight against crime, ensuring peace and tranquillity in our native Belarus. The President thanked them that even now they are taking an active part in the patriotic education of young people, sharing their personal experience.
“We will never forget the heroic deeds of our law enforcement officers and honour by name those who died in the line of duty,” the message summed up.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone strong health, happiness, prosperity and peaceful skies above their heads.
