The Head of State noted that he warmly recalls his recent trip to Azerbaijan and, in particular, a visit to the liberated territories, which were toured personally by Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.
“In Shusha, I told him: ‘You live in paradise’. I have never seen such a place anywhere, having visited many places on our planet: its air is clean, and nature is beautiful. I am sure you will accomplish another feat by restoring life in these territories. We will be happy to participate in these works, we have outlined the directions. There are no obstacles,” the Head of State said.
Referring to the development of trade relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan, Aleksandr Lukashenko called the level of trade turnover not bad, but at the same time unbalanced. “We understand that we need to buy more goods from Azerbaijan, and we will settle this issue. We talked with Ilham Heydarovich [Aliyev] about the areas that need to be intensively developed in terms of technology transfer – starting from the military-industrial complex and ending with agriculture. In short, there are no closed topics, we are ready to work in this direction,” he said.
The Belarusian leader expressed confidence that the parliamentarians of the two countries will ensure the entire process by law.
