Lukashenko awarded Golden Letter at Media Community Forum
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has been presented Golden Letter at the Media Community Forum in Mogilev
After Aleksandr Lukashenko finished answering journalists' questions, Deputy Head of the President Administration Vladimir Pertsov noted that the twentieth anniversary ceremony of summing up the results of the competition among the print media journalists – Golden Letter – will take place in the near future.
“I would like, dear Aleksandr Grigorievich, to present you with a statuette – the Golden Letter which we give to 20 nominees as part of the ceremony – on behalf of all the participants of the media forum,” Mr. Pertsov addressed the Head of State.
Aleksandr Lukashenko gratefully accepted the award and remarked with a smile, “I wanted to ask what merits it is for, and he told me: ‘It’s Border Guards Day’ [celebrated in Belarus on May 28th]. Thanks! We will find a place for it in the Palace of Independence.”
