Lukashenko approved draft amendments to conventions enabling citizens to receive alimony payments in CIS states

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 375, approving – as a basis for negotiations – the draft protocols on amendments to the conventions on legal aid and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases (adopted on January 22nd, 1993 and October 7th, 2002), sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The draft protocols envisage the consolidation of provisions in the conventions that will ensure the compulsory execution of court orders on the recovery of alimony payments for minor children in the CIS member states.

The Justice Ministry has been authorised to conduct negotiations on draft protocols.

The implementation of the amendments introduced by the draft protocols will enable citizens to freely receive alimony in the CIS countries.
