Lukashenko announced grand opening of International Exhibition Centre in May 2025
The International Exhibition Centre in Minsk will be grandly opened in May 2025 – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his today’s meeting with employees of MotoVeloZavod JSC and Minsk City Technopark
This year, the plant, the same age as the Great Victory, will celebrate its 80th anniversary. Thanks to the support of the Head of State, the Aist [Stork] national brand has found a new life, and it can be seen at the exhibition of achievements of sovereign Belarus. MotoVeloZavod employees asked the President when the idea of the exhibition came up and whether new exhibition projects should be expected in the near future.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said that the idea emerged long ago, and later an investor appeared who is implementing a global project.
According to the Head of State, our country needed a place where one could come for such an exhibition, which one could be proud of, “It’s good that you have seen that. You will no longer shout that we are ‘peasants wearing bast shoes’. You will understand what we can do with our own hands. That was the idea. We will develop further this exhibition sector.”
At the same time, according to the President, we are not yet talking about the full-fledged opening of the entire complex. There are still some shortcomings that the developer needs to fix.
“We will open it before Victory Day, we will finally open and form the exhibition in May… We have launched [the exhibition] at the first stage, enabling you and your kids to come and take a look. I invite you to come by May 9th, and we will open a grand exhibition centre with you,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
