Lukashenko amended decree on officials’ reaction to criticism in state media
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 452 on December 3rd, which updates Decree No. 630 On Reaction of Officials to Critical Statements in the State Media, taking into account current trends in the development of the information sphere, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
The document was adopted in order to objectively reflect socially significant information in the media and on Internet resources, as well as identify and promptly solve the problems contained therein. It is focused on the development of modern public feedback channels and wider use of the potential of state-owned media in the preparation of critical analytics materials.
The norms provided for in the decree will strengthen the interaction of government agencies, the media and the expert community to inform the public, including on problematic issues and ways to solve them.
