Liu Zhe: China-Belarus relations maintain high level of development
Under the strategic leadership of the two heads of state and thanks to their joint promotion, the Chinese-Belarusian relations of all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership currently maintain a high level of development – as stated Defence Attaché of China’s Embassy in Belarus Liu Zhe at a solemn event on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army of China
“It’s pleasant to note that military relations between China and Belarus have also been developing dynamically in recent years. We are actively liaising in such areas as the continuous growth of the exchange of military delegations at a high level, further deepening and expansion of joint training and exercises, close interaction in professional military spheres,” the Defence Attaché at the Chinese Embassy in Belarus underlined.
Liu Zhe separately noted that on July 3rd, the People’s Liberation Army Honour Guard detachment took part in a military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation.
“The Chinese-Belarusian joint anti-terrorist training was successfully held in Belarus. All this once again shows the high level of military relations between the two countries. China is ready to further strengthen military co-operation with Belarus for the benefit of our states and peoples, while jointly making a great contribution to strengthening world peace and regional stability,” he added.
The Defence Attaché drew attention to the fact that over the past three decades, China has sent more than 50,000 peacekeepers to participate in 25 UN peacekeeping operations. He added that China is the country that sends the largest number of peacekeepers among the UN Security Council permanent members, and the second largest contributor to the budget of UN peacekeeping operations. History has proved and continues to prove that the Chinese army is always a solid force for protecting world peace.
“The Chinese army is determined and capable of protecting national sovereignty, security and development interests,” Liu Zhe stressed.
