Krivosheev: people who worked against their state can’t be forgiven
It is impossible to forgive people who worked against their state and Belarusian society for money, said Andrei Krivosheev, Director General of Minsk-Novosti Agency, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Union of Journalists, while sharing his views with Alfa Radio regarding the Address of the President
During his Address, the Head of State proposed to establish public commissions that would decide the fate of fugitive oppositionists. In this regard, Andrei Krivosheev was asked if these structures could forgive the opposition.
“It is impossible to forgive people who deliberately and corruptly worked against their state and society, particularly regarding sanctions. People who stumbled, fell into this whirlpool of events, were overwhelmed with emotions, are also our citizens. The President has repeatedly formulated the task ‘to repent and crawl home on your knees’. Let people not be offended by this, there is logic here. There are not so many people in Belarus to scatter them,” the expert drew attention.
Mr. Krivosheev noted that a significant part of the citizens who had a lot of free time and good money – earned due to the benefits provided in Belarus – and who left the country on emotions, returned to their homeland.
“They left our country shouting ‘Everything is lost!’ and ‘It will be better there!’ Now, most of them have returned,” asserted the expert.
