Kochanova on details of her report to President

Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and authorised representative of the Head of State in Minsk, shared the details of her today’s report to President Aleksandr Lukashenko

Ms. Kochanova recalled that the Council of the Republic of the eighth convocation is working in its new composition, paying great attention to international activities, among other aspects. “We are currently working very actively on the international agenda with our colleagues: parliamentarians of the SCO and BRICS countries,” she noted.

The Speaker of the Upper House of Parliament also reported on the work of the authorised representatives of the Head of State.

The fulfilment of the President's instructions related to Minsk was also in the focus of attention. Ms. Kochanova clarified that the work of enterprises that Aleksandr Lukashenko had visited and where he had set specific tasks was discussed. “Among them are Motovelo, MAZ, and Horizon. We are monitoring the activities of these enterprises today, also ensuring the control over the implementation of projects there. I want to say that everything is on schedule, even developing ahead of it. We hope that Motovelo will start working at full capacity in 2025, as promised, and I mean not only the enterprise itself, but also the Minsk City Technopark residents,” she said, adding that 83 of the latter already work on this territory. By analogy, enterprises will be created at Horizon: part of its premises will be leased for opening new production facilities.

“As for the fulfilment of the forecast indicators of Minsk’s socio-economic development, all tasks have been completed (and even ahead of schedule sometimes). At the same time, we should not rest on our laurels. We understand that further work and development are needed, because this is the largest territorial centre in terms of population. We must show decent results," Ms. Kochanova stressed.
