Kochanova: Belarus stongly condemns any manifestations of terrorism and extremism
None of the clearheaded people were left unconcerned about a monstrous terrorist act that took place on March 22nd in fraternal Russia – as stated by the Chairperson of the Upper House of Parliament, Natalya Kochanova, at the final meeting of the eleventh session of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation, commenting on the appeal of the Council of the Republic to the international community on countering terrorism
"We are witnessing serious transformations in the history of mankind," Natalya Kochanova said. “It is more obvious today than ever how fragile our world is, how vulnerable human life, security and tranquillity are in the agony of odious geopolitical ambitions and the search for quick profit. Unfortunately, terrorism and extremism are increasingly being used in the arsenal of tools to achieve ignoble purposes. In addition, their forms are becoming even more sophisticated, unscrupulous, and barbaric.”
According to the Speaker of the Council of the Republic, none of the clearheaded people were left unconcerned about the monstrous terrorist act that took place on March 22nd in fraternal Russia.
“Belarusians, for whom this date has been a gaping wound of the Khatyn tragedy for more than eight decades, learnt of the events in the Moscow Region with deep pain and bitterness,” she noted. “There is no justification for such crimes against humanity. They have no statute of limitations. We categorically condemn any manifestations of terrorism and extremism, express our commitment to the values of universal peace and global security, and strive for a civilised dialogue.”
